Building Our Reading Habits
Does the idea of reading an entire novel fill you with doom? Learn about some tips that will make the process less daunting and perhaps even fun! Setting aside daily reading time, breaking books down into sections, and other changes in mindset can help you develop a strong reading habit. Learn about the variety of free reading resources available to you at COD, including books, graphic novels, magazines, and audio books!
Attendees will:
- Learn to build reading habits and practices to read more.
- Explore the various kinds of reading material at the COD Library for pleasure as well as academics.
This session is presented by Megan Flaherty, Adjunct Librarian and Jason Ertz, Professor/Reference Librarian.

College of DuPage Great Read Series Student Showcase
Join us for an evening of conversation and view the work the students have been producing in response to our book selection, Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Among the student work to be featured include displays made by students enrolled in linked courses, garments made by the student Fashion Club and performance readings of scenes from the novel by students from the theater department.
