Real Estate Broker Post-License Courses (45 hours)

The 45-hour Broker Post-License Requirement (composed of three, 15-hour courses) needs to be completed for your first renewal. The three required courses address core topics essential to the development of a newly-licensed real estate broker, including Illinois license law, agency obligations and disclosure, purchase agreements and other contracts, fair housing, antitrust, transaction handling, working with sellers and buyers, risk management, ethics, advertising and professional development.

Gov. JB Pritzker signed legislation aimed to expand health care access for aging adults

Marking the state of Illinois to be the first in the nation, recently signed Senate Bill 677 requires licensed health care professionals, who have direct patient interaction with adults age 26 and older, to complete at least a one-hour course in diagnosis, treatment, and care on Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

COD Continuing Education offers Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Practitioner seminar. Learn the fundamentals of dementia and how to care for people with this progressive syndrome, which affects memory, thinking and behavior. Increase your knowledge in alternative activity interventions, enhancing the quality of life and techniques to prevent or reduce difficult care situations. The seminar will prepare a health care professional for qualification to the NCCDP as a Certified Dementia Practitioner® candidate. Taught by National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) approved instructor and a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recognized curriculum.
