About The Transfer Program

This transfer path includes coursework at College of DuPage (COD) that will lead to an Associate in Arts (AA) or Associate in Science (AS) degree and prepare you for transfer to Northern Illinois University's (NIU) BS in Sport Management program.

This program prepares students for careers working behind-the-scenes in the rapidly growing sport industry. Foci include preparation for the extensive career opportunities that are available with professional franchises, collegiate athletic departments, marketing and management firms, parks and recreation operations and more. Moreover, our strong relationships with the Chicago area's many sport organizations and with NIU's NCAA Division I athletics program provide students with outstanding experiences for hands-on learning and networking.

Accreditation – Northern Illinois University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) to award bachelors, masters, specialist, doctoral and certificate degrees.

GPA Graduation Requirements/Course Grade Requirements/etc.

  • Must have a minimum grade of "C" or equivalent in all major required course work as well as the courses used to satisfy the NIU Foundational Studies writing and Quantitative Analysis requirements (ENG 103, ENG 203, MATH 101)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA to begin Internship Semester (Spring 4) course work and all courses after is a 2.5. Passing of all prerequisites with an LESM designator with a "C" or better is required prior to eligibility.
