Fall Headcount Up 13 Percent Over 2023

College of DuPage leaders are celebrating a strong start to the 2024-2025 academic year, reporting that fall 2024 headcount is up 13% percent over 2023 figures. Fall enrollment has increased from 23,214 students in 2023 to 26,225 students in 2024.

The College’s full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollment is also up, with an 8.6% increase over last year.

COD’s 2024 fall enrollment figures come on the heels of fall headcount gains of 5.3% and 5.8% in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

“In selecting College of DuPage for their educational journeys, students put their trust in our academic rigor, expert faculty and state-of-the-art facilities,” said Interim President Dr. Christine M. Hammond. “We look forward to supporting their studies and helping them achieve their goals at COD.”

In addition to enrollment, the College also showed gains in its Dual Credit program with a 73.9% increase in dual credit FTEs for fall 2024. The Illinois Community College Board also identified COD as having the highest dual credit enrollment in the state in 2023.

“College of DuPage continues to create new and expanded access to higher education,” Dr. Hammond said. “Our fall numbers reflect the strength of our commitment to education, our innovation, and the resources and support we offer students from all walks of life.”

Registration remains open for COD’s fall semester, with additional sessions beginning Monday, Sept. 16, and Monday, Oct. 14.
