College of DuPage head flag football coach Jenn Schulmeister has announced that the Chaparrals will host a spring tryout Thursday, April 24, in preparation for their inaugural season that begins with preseason in fall 2025 followed by games in spring 2026.
Sign-in and walk-up registration begin at 5 p.m., followed by testing and workouts starting at 5:30 p.m. at Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium, located on campus in Glen Ellyn, 425 Fawell Blvd. Tryouts will be indoors in the event of inclement weather.
Online pre-registration is preferred to secure a spot and available until 5 p.m. on April 24. Walk-up registrations are welcome.
Athletes will need to bring a hard copy of a physical examination, dated within the last year. If under 18 on the day of the tryout, participants must have a parent or legal guardian present.
Participants should wear workout apparel suitable for both outdoor and indoor activities. The tryout will include combine-style testing, drills and skills evaluation. The coaching staff will evaluate athletes' current skills and physical abilities. This is an evaluation event, not an instructional camp. If selected for the 2025 roster, further contact will be made by the coaching staff. If not selected, no follow-up will be provided.
Any cancellations, postponements or changes due to weather will be decided by COD Athletics. COD staff reserves the right to refuse participation at their discretion.
