Steven Accardi, Ph.D., is a Professor of English at College of DuPage, whose work has been featured in prominent academic journals such as "WPA: Writing Program Administration," "Composition Studies," "Teaching English in the Two-Year College," and the "Journal of Second Language Writing."
Accardi played a pivotal role in developing the nationally recognized Writing Studies program and the Professional Writing Certificate at COD. For his contributions to student success, he was honored with the Outstanding Honors Faculty award by the College of DuPage Honors Student Advisory Committee.
In the classroom, Accardi teaches a range of courses in the Writing Studies program, including Advanced Composition, Argumentative Writing, Writing in the Professions, Writing for Nonprofits, Technical Writing, and Workplace Writing, along with Composition I and II.
Prior to joining COD, Accardi spent four years as an Assistant Professor of English at Penn State Hazleton, where he integrated first-year writing courses with community engagement projects and taught upper-level courses in rhetorical theory and discourse analysis.
