Alejandra Ortega, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of English at College of DuPage. She previously held a fellowship with the Association of American University Women. A scholar of twentieth- and twenty-first-century literature, her work has been published in academic journals like Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment (ISLE), Rhizomes and Studies in the Novel, among other venues. She is currently completing a monograph on examinations of ecofeminism in genre literature that will be published by Lexington Books as part of their Ecocritical Theory and Practice series.
