COD Experts: Jonathon Parsons

Jason ParsonsJonathon Parsons, adjunct professor of philosophy, has been teaching at College of DuPage since 2008. Most of Parsons’ research interests revolve around questions concerning the existence of different types of 'stuff' and 'things' in the world, as well as the conditions under which some 'stuff' or 'things' compose further entities. He also has interests in the philosophy of religion, particularly Christian physicalism and non-classical approaches to theism, and the philosophy of science, focusing on causation, natural laws, and the notion of explanation in scientific theories.

At College of DuPage, Parsons regularly teaches logic, introduction to philosophy, ethics, environmental ethics, business ethics and philosophy of science
