Health Insurance
At College of DuPage, Health Sciences Students and Student Athletes are required to provide proof of health insurance. It is recommended that all students carry health insurance, regardless of whether or not your academic or athletic program requires it. Students may be eligible for an ACA compliant plan which includes free preventative care, like vaccines, screenings, and some check-ups, even before you meet your deductible. Also, ACA insurers cannot refuse to cover or charge you more because of a pre-existing condition. Short-term health insurance plans are also available. Visit cod.studentbenefitplans.com for detailed information on each of the plan options.
Teladoc Insurance
You have access to unlimited telehealth visits at a time that works for you. Once enrolled, you and your family members have 24/7/365 access to doctors, dermatologists and mental health providers all with a $0 copay. You can meet with the providers through the Teladoc app or website. Visit cod.studentbenefitplans.com for detailed information.
Dental and Vision Insurance
You can choose from two dental plans and a vision plan, all offered at affordable group rates. The insurance plans are voluntary and are available for a duration of either 6 or 12 months. Both dental plans feature free cleanings each year, and unlike individual dental plans, offer access to basic and major services with no waiting periods. The DeltaCare plan also features orthodontia coverage. Both plans are offered by Delta Dental of Illinois, which features the largest network of dentists in the nation. The Vision plan utilizes EyeMed Vision Care’s national network and provides comprehensive coverage, including affordable access to exams, frames, lenses, and contact lenses. Visit cod.studentbenefitplans.com for detailed information on each of the plan options.
