Gelato Production Lead

We are seeking a qualified Production Lead to oversee our artisan gelato/ice cream and frozen dessert production. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in the food/dessert industry, great interpersonal and leadership skills, and enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- assisting in planning and organizing daily production schedules
- maintaining accuracy of current recipes and developing new recipes
- ensuring that health and safety regulations are met while following food safety and HACCP plans
- overseeing production processes
- selecting, ordering and purchasing ingredients and materials
- supervising the work of production employees
- inspecting products prior to shipment to ensure labeling accuracy and proper record keeping
- assisting with daily production
Qualifications
- 2+ years previous experience in the dessert industry; baker, pastry chef, ice cream/gelato production, etc. (Preferred)
- Project management skills
- Organization and efficiency
- Leadership and interpersonal skills
- Problem solving skills
- Communication skills
- Team mentality
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000 - $55,000 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday, weekends as needed
Education: Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience: Food production: 2 years (Preferred)
Language: English (Required), Spanish (Preferred)
License/Certification: Food Safety Certification (Preferred)
