The Illinois International Trade Center (ITC) provides information, counseling and training to existing and new-to-export companies interested in pursuing international trade opportunities.
Exporting offers the opportunity to open new markets, broaden customer bases and reduce seasonal fluctuations characteristic of domestic sales. New and expanded information tools and services make it easier for firms of all size to enter the international marketplace. The ITC can help businesses with:
Market Research
The ITC can assist in assessing a product's export potential and researching specific international market trends. The ITC can also provide information about export procedures, foreign import regulations and tariffs.
Individual Counseling
Special emphasis is placed on developing an international marketing plan tailored to a company's goals and resources.
Resource Center
The ITC maintains a resource center of international trade reference books and periodicals.
Workshops and Seminars
Half, full, and multiple-day sessions focus on issues and operations necessary for the successful implementation of international trade activities.

The specialized and customized advising services include:
- Export readiness assessment
- International market intelligence, customized market research
- Export compliance
- Product classification (Schedule B/ HTS code)
- Export financial resources, grant funding opportunities
- International shipping and logistics plan
- Trade finance and export insurance
