Regularly admitted students may request to change a course from graded to Audit enrollment status.
The deadline to change to Audit is the “Last Day to Add a Course with Instructor Permit.” Please refer to the Enrollment Important Dates and Deadlines for the exact date.
Once the change to audit is processed it cannot be reversed.
Academic and Financial Impact on Student
Changing to audit status may impact financial aid, academic progress, athletic eligibility, and program completion. Audit courses do not count toward program requirements. For the academic impact consult with Advising Services. For the impact on Financial Aid, consult with the Office of Student Financial Assistance.
Tuition for Audited Class
Changing to Audit status will result in an additional fee per credit hour. Visit tuition and fees for details.
For in-district senior citizens auditing a course, tuition will be adjusted to the full in-district rate plus the audit fee. Alternatively, students may want to discuss changing the course to satisfactory/fail with their instructor.
Grading and Impact of Audit on Student Academic Record
Audited courses appear on a student’s transcript as “X.” The "X" grade does not earn credit and is not computed in the grade point average (GPA).
