Stress is common to many college students, but when stress is not managed, it can create obstacles to school functioning. It is important to be aware of your stress level, the type of stress you are experiencing, and ways of coping with it.
A survey conducted by the American College Health Association-National College Health Assessment (ACHA-NCHA) showed that 34 percent of college students reported that stress affected their individual academic performance within the past 12-months.
