Project Hire-Ed is partnering with a local organization to hire a CNC Machinist apprentice.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates a machine to cut, shape, or form metal work pieces to customer specifications
- Load and unload parts on machinery and operate equipment according to PMC standards.
- Examine products to identify defects and variations from coloring and other processing standards.
- Timely and accurately report production information to supervisor and in ERP system
- Maintain and efficiently perform production assignment/ expectations from Supervisor within allotted time period per the production schedule, while following work instructions.
- Maintaining lean concepts while looking for continuous improvement.
- Understands necessary tools and instructions to ensure quality of work.
- Ensure work area is safe and free of obstacles and safely work to prevent on-the-job injuries following all safety regulations.
Preferred Skills/Knowledge
- Previous experience with CNC
- Knowledge of TS requirements.
- Bilingual in Spanish/ English a plus
- High School diploma or equivalent Education / Certification.
Additional Information
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, stand/ bend for 8 hours.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends.
- Must be able to multi-task under high pressure environment.
- Based on need, may be asked to perform other duties as required by PMC.
