Through a partnership with Eastern Illinois University and College of DuPage, educators can earn credentials to offer dual credit speech at your high school.
The online Graduate Certificate in Communication Processes is geared towards individuals who are interested in teaching dual-credit public speaking classes at the high school level. Individuals wishing to teach dual credit must have a master's degree in any area and at least 18 hours of coursework in the respective field. The online certificate program can be completed in one year (or 3 semesters).
Courses taken towards the completion of the Graduate Certificate in Communication Processes may be counted toward the Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies. Acceptance into the certificate program does not guarantee placement into the graduate program. Students in the certificate program will be required to apply separately to the MA in Communication Studies degree program.
