About The Transfer Program
This transfer path includes coursework at College of DuPage (COD) that will lead to an Associate in Arts (AA) or Associate in Science (AS) degree and prepare you for transfer to Northern Illinois University's (NIU) BS in Kinesiology program.
This program prepares you to work in a variety of health, wellness, and sport performance settings where you will use exercise as a form of medicine. Our curriculum can also prepare you for graduate school in exercise physiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, sport and exercise psychology and sport management. Scientific principles embedded within coursework and co-curricular experiences include: physiology, biomechanics, psychology, measurement, gerontology, and nutrition.

- Semester long internship experience that aligns with your future professional goals.
- Co-curricular opportunities to travel and learn best practices from leaders in the field through the College of Education's Educate and Engage Series.

GPA Graduation Requirements/Course Grade Requirements/etc.- Must have a minimum grade of "C" or equivalent in all major required course work as well as the courses used to satisfy the NIU Foundational Studies writing and Quantitative Analysis requirements (ENG 103, ENG 203, MATH 101).
- Minimum cumulative GPA to begin Internship Semester (Spring 4) course work and all
courses after is a 2.5. Passing of all prerequisites is required prior to eligibility.
