Office of the President

Dear Community Members

It is with great pride and deep enthusiasm that I begin my service as the eighth president of the College of DuPage—an institution at the heart of our region’s educational, economic and cultural vitality. COD also holds special meaning for my family, as both of my sons and I are proud alumni.

At College of DuPage, we are committed to preparing students not only for today’s career opportunities but also for tomorrow’s challenges. Whether entering the job market, transferring to a four-year university, changing careers or advancing in their current roles, our students find in COD a trusted partner, offering flexible, high-impact learning pathways designed for their success.

As I look ahead to the future, one area of key importance is workforce development. We will continue to sharpen our focus on the skills and portable credentials, from stackable certificates to industry-recognized designations, that meet the evolving demands of the regional labor market. By aligning our programs more closely with local industry needs, we will strengthen employment pipelines and foster entrepreneurial growth. The 2024 Choose DuPage Industrial Cluster Analysis report identifies key occupational areas—including health care, manufacturing and emerging sectors—with projected concentrations through 2034. We are committed to monitoring these market trends closely and responding with innovative programs and services that prepare our students to excel in these critical fields.

Our mission extends well beyond workforce readiness. As an economic catalyst, we are dedicated to building strong partnerships with residents, businesses and organizations to enrich lives, expand opportunities and contribute to the vibrancy of our entire region. Our goal is simple yet profound: to ensure that every student leaves COD equipped to thrive—and that our community grows stronger as a result.

As I embark on this journey as the eighth president of College of DuPage, I am deeply grateful for your continued support. Your commitment to our institution is what makes our community strong, and I look forward to working together to build a brighter, more inclusive future for all.

Warm regards,
Dr. Muddassir Siddiqi
