International Students
Welcome, international student applicants! We’re excited that you're considering College of DuPage as the next step in your academic journey. COD is the largest community college in the Midwest and is committed to meeting the diverse educational and cultural needs of our students. The college is located in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, a suburban community just 25 miles west of Chicago.
You can complete the first two years of undergraduate coursework at COD before transferring to a four-year institution. We offer seven associate degree options:
- Associate in Arts
- Associate in Science
- Associate in Engineering Science
- Associate in Applied Science
- Associate in General Studies
- Associate in Fine Arts - Art Option
- Associate in Fine Arts - Music Option
English as a Second Language (ESL) courses are also available during the fall and spring semesters to support your academic success.
Currently, students from over 50 countries are enrolled at COD. Admission Deadlines
All required materials must be received by the below deadlines to be considered for admission. Late applications might still considered, but we will need you to contact us as soon as possible.
If the deadline listed below falls on a weekend or holiday, the deadline is extended until the end of the next business day.
Fall Semester
Classes begin in mid-August
- Deadline: June 30
- Deadline for Transferring F-1 Students: July 31
Spring Semester
Classes begin in mid-January
- Deadline: November 15
- Deadline for Transferring F-1 Students: Dec. 1
*Summer Semester
Classes begin in late May
- Deadline: March 1
- Deadline for Transferring F-1 Students: April 1
*Some programs may not be available during the summer semester. Applicants applying for a program not offered during the summer semester will be issued an I-20 for the fall semester.
Application
Submit the international I-20 application along with all required documents to be considered for admission.
There are several documents you need to submit in order for us to review your application. Costs to attend COD include tuition fees, books and supplies, health insurance and
living expenses.
