College of DuPage provides technology resources to support student learning, communication and access to campus services. The tools below help students access courses, communicate with instructors, connect to campus networks and use academic technology resources.

Student Portal

The Student Portal provides a centralized gateway to important College of DuPage systems and information.

Through the portal, students can access:

  • Student Email
  • Blackboard
  • myACCESS (class registration, schedule, and grades)
  • Campus announcements and resources
  • Everbridge emergency alerts
  • Links to additional academic services

Students sign in to the portal using their COD Network Account.

 

COD Network Account

Your COD Network Account provides access to most College of DuPage technology services.

This account is used to sign in to:

  • inside.cod.edu
  • Blackboard
  • Microsoft 365 email
  • Campus computers and labs
  • Other College technology services

myACCESS

myACCESS is the College’s student information system, available through the inside.cod.edu portal.

Students use myACCESS to view and manage their academic records and student information, including:

  • Class registration
  • Course schedules
  • Grades
  • Financial information

Password Reset

Students can reset their COD Network Account password through the self-service password management system.

To reset your password:

  1. Visit cod.edu/helpdesk
  2. Complete Duo Registration if you have not already enrolled
  3. Select Password Reset

Multi-Factor Authentication

College of DuPage uses Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to protect student accounts.

Students verify their identity during login using Microsoft Authenticator with number matching.

This additional step helps protect your account and personal information.

Wireless Internet

College of DuPage provides wireless internet access across campus buildings and outdoor spaces.

Students can connect to COD Public Wireless, which provides general internet access on campus.

Student Email

All students receive a Microsoft 365 email account.

Your student email account is the official communication channel used by the College to send:

  • Announcements
  • Important Notifications
  • Academic Communications
  • Billing and Administrative Messages

Students can access email through:

  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Outlook on the Web

Students should check their College email regularly.

Emergency Alerts (Everbridge)

College of DuPage uses Everbridge to deliver emergency notifications and important campus alerts.

These alerts may include information about:

  • Campus Emergencies
  • Severe Weather
  • Campus Closures
  • Safety Notifications

Everbridge notifications are available through the inside.cod.edu portal.

Computer Labs

Computer labs are available across campus and provide access to software and resources needed for coursework.

Students can log in to lab computers using their COD Network Account.

Lab locations and management vary across campus.

Printing on Campus

Students can print, scan, and copy documents using PaperCut SmartPrint multifunction printers located across campus.

Students pay for printing services and can manage their printing through SmartPrint.

Microsoft 365 Software

College of DuPage provides Microsoft 365 to students for use during their enrollment.

Microsoft 365 includes applications such as:

  • Word
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • Outlook
  • Teams
  • OneDrive

These tools support coursework, collaboration, and file storage.

Adobe Software

Adobe software is available for students enrolled in courses that require Adobe applications as part of their coursework.

Availability depends on course requirements and departmental licensing.

Blackboard

Blackboard is the College’s learning management system.

Instructors use Blackboard to:

  • Post Assignments
  • Share Course Materials
  • Communicate with Students
  • Manage Grades

Students access Blackboard to view course content, submit assignments, and participate in online learning activities.

Blackboard is available at: bb.cod.edu

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is available to students for collaboration, communication, and meetings related to coursework and campus activities.

Teams allows students to:

  • Participate in Group Collaboration
  • Communicate with Classmates and Instructors
  • Share Files
  • Join Online Meetings

Zoom

Zoom is available for students to participate in online classes, meetings, and virtual campus events.

Students can join Zoom meetings hosted by instructors or campus departments.

Safe Computing

Cybersecurity threats such as phishing emails and malware are common on college campuses.

Students are encouraged to follow safe computing practices to protect their accounts and personal information.

Student File Storage

Students have access to cloud file storage through Microsoft OneDrive.

OneDrive allows students to:

  • Store Files Securely Online
  • Access Files From Any Device
  • Share Documents With classmates or Instructors
  • Collaborate on Files Using Microsoft 365 Applications
