College of DuPage’s Infrastructure and Network Services provide a secure, reliable,and high-performance technology foundation that supports learning, teaching and operations across all campuses. From campus-wide wireless and wired network connectivity to hybrid cloud and on-premises data center solutions, the College ensures seamless access to critical systems and digital resources for students, faculty and staff. 

Campus Network

College of DuPage provides wireless access across all our locations.

COD Public Wireless

Available for general use by students, employees, and guests. No password is required.

COD Employee Wireless

Available for faculty and staff using their COD Network Account credentials.

COD Wired Network

Only college owned devices should be plugged into the COD Wired Network. These devices are configured and managed by the College to ensure secure access to required applications, network resources, and security updates.

Internet Access

The College maintains redundant high-speed connections to the Internet to maximize availability.   All users are required to adhere to college policies regarding appropriate use while utilizing College resources including Internet connectivity.

Data Center and Cloud

The College IT department provides a hybrid environment with enterprise systems hosted both on-premises and in the cloud.  This hybrid environment allows us to select the most appropriate and cost-effective solution for our end users.

Network Storage 

Our college provides a robust data infrastructure that includes both on-premises storage options as well as Microsoft 365. Students and staff may utilize OneDrive for encrypted cloud storage, ensuring their work is accessible from any device. 

Identity and Authentication

Your COD Network Account provides access to most College of DuPage technology services and systems. This account is used to log in to college-issued computers, Microsoft 365 services, Blackboard, and other campus resources.

All students, faculty, and staff receive a COD Network Account.  Use of this account is subject to acceptable use policies. 

Two-Factor Authentication

To help protect your account, College of DuPage uses Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

  • Faculty and Staff: Authenticate using Duo Security.
  • Students: Authenticate using Microsoft Authenticator with number matching.

This additional verification step helps ensure that only authorized users can access College systems.
