Student Email Tips
Students can access the student email system directly. The student email system provided by Microsoft, allows us to offer enhanced features while simplifying access for students.
College of DuPage sends all official communications to students through their official COD email (dupage.edu). Students have the option to forward these communications to a personal email account. Check out your COD email to get the message about:
- Official COD communications
- Financial aid communications
- Petition to graduate
- Transfer credit evaluation
- Prerequisite proof
- Sensitive FERPA-related communications
- Transcript ordering
- Important messages from instructors
Student Email Access
- Access your student email account at outlook.com/dupage.edu.
- Enter your CODUsername@dupage.edu when prompted for a username.
- Be sure to include the "@dupage.edu" part of your ID when entering your username.
- Enter your COD Student Portal password into the field labeled password.
Student Email Address
Your email address is your myaccessid@dupage.edu that was created after you applied to College of DuPage. If you forgot your email address, go to inside.cod.edu and click on Retrieve/Forgot Username. Follow the instructions provided at the top of the input form. You will need to know the email address you provided when you applied for admission to the college. If you have questions about this email address, contact the Student Support Helpdesk at (630) 942-2999 or email studenthelp@dupage.edu.

Password Assistance
Go to inside.cod.edu and click on Set/Forgot Password or Change Password. Follow the instructions provided at the top of the input form.

Microsoft Office 365
Microsoft Office 365 is available free to COD students to use. Read more about how to download.
- Office 365 provides 50GB of email storage versus 10GB that was previously available to students. In addition, 25GB of online storage for files is available via Microsoft OneDrive versus the 10MB that was previously available.
- Access on a mobile phone or desktop client is available via forwarding, IMAP, POP3, or via the Outlook Connector.
- Office 365 includes the ability to sync contacts and calendars with mobile phones.
- Office 365 provides the popular Outlook web interface as well as multi-browser support including full support for Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari.
- Office 365 includes integrated instant messaging, calendaring, and contacts.
