Continuing Education offers tutoring for teens and adults. All tutors hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree and are selected for their knowledge and sensitivity to individual needs. Tutoring sessions typically take place on the main campus in Glen Ellyn, in a public location decided between student and tutor or online via Zoom.
Tutoring
All interested community members must submit tutor requests below under the Student Inquiry tab. Inquiries are given to the program coordinator to reach out to our pool of tutors with the information on the student's availability and area of focus. Review additional areas of tutoring support below and note individuals will be contacted by a tutor within five business days for a consultation on tutoring needs.
The consultation with the tutor is your chance to explain your needs and determine
if the tutor is a good fit with knowledge, personality, and availability. If interested
participants determine the tutor aligns with their expectations, set-up a tentative
schedule and confirm your interest with the tutor. Tutoring sessions cannot begin
until after registration is completed. Please call (630) 942-2208 for registration
information.
Please note: a 48-hour cancellation to your tutor or the Continuing Education department
is required when canceling one-on-one sessions
Parents fill out a Student Inquiry Form via the tab below. You will be contacted by a program coordinator within 2 business days to see if we have an appropriate tutor available.
Students interested in ACT or SAT test prep are encouraged to take a group test prep course first. After the student has completed the group test prep course, we can better determine the student's individual needs. Course schedules can be found on cod.edu/cehighschool
Most high school subjects are available including, Algebra, Geometry, Chemistry, Foreign Language, writing, ELA and more!
