Adjunct Faculty Resources

Let’s start with the basics. The campus is large and busy. So let’s help you get here and find the Office of Adjunct Faculty Support

Next, let’s outline what we expect of our adjunct faculty. These expectations outline some of the job requirements all adjunct faculty must adhere to in addition to their teaching duties. We provide this as a way to acclimate you to what the job entails. 

Information on the Adjunct Faculty Center locations, Employee Development Center (EDC), Campus Services and much more!

  • Part Time Faculty Office – These are like your office space on campus. Computers, supplies, small copy jobs, and a place to put your things. BIC 2A07 and HSC 1235
  • Employee Development Center (EDC) – An on-campus resource providing training, workshops, and classes to enhance your work environment and enrich your experiences at COD.
  • Campus Services – For large copy jobs, print services and other conveniences.
  • COD Police – Whether it is providing emergency first aid, responding to a criminal act or providing escort service to your vehicle or class, the Police department is always ready to help you.
  • Human Resources – For your compensation and benefits questions. 
  • Information Technology (IT) – Help Desk information and computing information.
  • Learning Technologies – provides Instructional Design, Blackboard support and more for all classes – face-to-face, hybrid and online.
  • Testing Services - Remote and in-person course testing for your students.

For help in the classroom, whether it be questions on the Code of Conduct for students, Advising and Counseling, you will find all you need right here.

  • Advising Tools – Help for you and your students to navigate the COD landscape.
  • Behavioral Intervention Team – Intervention and assistance for the more severe cases of student misconduct.
  • Counseling – When students need assistance with life.
  • Starfish – A resource for faculty to work with Navigators to help students stay on track and applaud their successes. Starfish is accessible on the employee portal, under the Work Tools section (requires Single Sign-On, or SSO, login). Faculty may also access Starfish training by logging into the portal, accessing Cornerstone, and then entering Starfish Adjunct Faculty Training in the search field.
  • Student Code of Conduct – This is the rulebook for students that you should know too.
  • Student Concern/Incident Report – For reporting violations to the Student Code of Conduct.
