Testing Center Policies
Students using the Testing Center must agree to follow the policies and procedures when taking an academic or specialized test. Acts of dishonesty are subject to disciplinary action.
- Valid photo ID(s) required for all testing.
- Children are not permitted in the Testing Center.
- Electronic devices, mechanical pencils, and all personal items are not permitted in the testing room.
- Items must be placed in a locker before testing.
- Calculators are allowed for specific tests. If a personal calculator is allowed, it will be examined before testing.
- Talking is not allowed in the Testing Room.
- Open book/open note testing is only permitted for authorized tests.
- Once a test is issued, it must be completed in one sitting.
- Tests will not be administered 1 hour before closing.
- All tests must be turned in at least ten minutes before closing.

- The Testing Center is under video surveillance at all times.

Specialized Testing Policies
In order to use any Testing Service, all pockets and personal items must be stored in a locker.
Prohibited Items
- Keys and wallets
- Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices and portable storage devices
- Food, drinks and gum
- Watches and activity trackers
- Hats and scarves (non-religious apparel)
- Personal writing instruments
- Sunglasses
- Earbuds and smart devices
- Bags, including purses, backpacks and briefcases
- Coats and jewelry
Restricted Items
Restricted items are only allowed with approval from the testing company/institution and subject to inspection.
- Sweatshirts and hoodies
- Books, notes and paper
- Calculators and laptops
College of DuPage is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
