Trustees Scholarship Program
The Trustees Scholarship Program is College of DuPage’s premier merit-based scholarship available to recent high school graduates. It offers a tuition award based on academic achievement. Students are selected based on a comprehensive review of their application and academic record.
Award: Covers up to 60 credit hours of in-district tuition at College of DuPage for a maximum of two academic years as last dollar funding*
- Last dollar funding: if students receive financial aid in the form of federal, state, institutional or external grants/scholarships; those funds will pay first, and any tuition not covered will be used by the Trustees Scholarship.
Application Criteria
- Must be a current high school senior who lives in District 502 and attends a U.S. high school *or * a current high school senior who lives out of District 502 but attends a high school in District 502 that will graduate in the 2026-2027 academic year
- Minimum 3.25 GPA/4.0 Scale (weighted or unweighted) - students must submit their high school transcripts showing all completed semester grades. Must have identifiable information for student, ex: name, DOB, high school, gpa, etc.
- Strong writing skills as demonstrated through the general application essay prompt.
- Must submit a FAFSA for 2026-2027 or ALT Application for 2026-2027 OR sign a waiver
2026-2027 Application
- Submit your General Application on Academic Works. This will get your account started to apply for scholarships.
- Search for the Trustees Scholarship Program and submit your application.
- Please be sure to look at application criteria and answer all supplemental questions in order to be considered for review. Drafted status applications will not be considered to be reviewed.
To remain eligible for the Trustees Scholarship, students must continue to meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled full-time (a minimum of 12 credit hours) each semester in a degree or certificate program.
- Maintain a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA while enrolled at College of DuPage.
- Meet with their assigned academic advisor before registering for classes each semester.
- Complete 16 hours of approved volunteer service each year. (Approval is needed by Service Learning)
Important: Students who do not meet these requirements will be removed from the Trustees Scholarship Program and will be responsible for full tuition payment in future semesters. The award cannot be reinstated, even if the student later achieves a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.
