STEM Forward

The STEM Forward (Fostering Opportunity, Resilience, and Workforce Advancement through Research and Development) Program supports the success of STEM majors at College of DuPage by offering multiple opportunities to engage in academic and professional development. With guidance from Student Success Coaches from the STEM Division, students can enhance their college experience with:

  • One-on-one coaching to:
    • Explore academic and career resources available to students
    • Establish a clear vision of goals
    • Strategize action plans for goal achievement
    • Identify engagement opportunities for academic and professional growth
  • Workshops and seminars focused on:
    • Career exploration
    • Workforce preparation
    • Internship and research opportunities
  • Peer support through a community of motivated STEM students

Similar support programs at COD have seen significant student benefits including increased course success, improved semester-to-semester retention and higher transfer/completion rates compared to a similar group of non-participating STEM students.
