Rational USA - Rolling Meadows

Culinary Intern

The Culinary intern at RATIONAL USA will work with the culinary team at RATIONAL USA headquarters in Rolling Meadows, IL. This position will assist in preparation for trainings and events that happen in our Culinary Experience Centers as well as our Grab and Go Bistro and trade show preparation. This is a paid position that will be able to complete any required hours during the term needed.

Specific Duties
• Assisting in daily set up and shut down of kitchen spaces.
• Prepare food items for Grab and Go Bistro.
• Assist in cleaning of dishes, equipment etc.
• Prepare specific new menu items for Grab & Go Bistro.
• Mise en Place food items for trainings.
• Check in and put away deliveries into correct spaces.
• Keep culinary spaces clean and organized.
• Others duties as needed.

Preferred Strengths
• Serve Safe Certified
• Able to work in an a clean and organized manner.
• Good Attitude and adapts easily to changes and adjustments.
• Strong knife skills.
• Punctuality is a must.
• Self motivated. Able to see what tasks need to be done and take initiative to complete.
• Works well with coworkers including many different chefs.
