The College of DuPage Board of Trustees approved the fiscal year 2027 budget at its regular meeting on Thursday, June 25, following a scheduled public hearing.
The $397.3 million expenditure budget prioritizes service and facility enhancements to support student success. The fiscal year begins July 1 and ends June 30, 2027.
Highlights include:
- Facility updates to enhance educational and student gathering spaces, including remodeling program-specific lab spaces and upgrades to the Welding Lab ventilation system.
- Hiring 15 additional full-time faculty members to increase support and academic resources for new and returning students.
“The College’s FY27 institutional spending plan prioritizes support for student success, addresses the institution’s current needs while focus on the future,” said College of DuPage President Dr. Muddassir Siddiqi. “This budget also reaffirms for all stakeholders the institution's dedication to strong financial stewardship.”
The College’s annual budget is the culmination of twelve months of work, during which input is solicited from the College community and institutional needs are identified, prioritized and resourced.
Board Chair Christine Fenne thanked the College’s finance team and the Board’s Budget Committee for their work in crafting a document that balances fiduciary responsibility with the institution’s evolving needs.
“The Board and administration remain committed to providing high-quality, affordable educational and enrichment opportunities to all those we serve,” she said. “This budget reflects not only months of planning for the continued operation and betterment of the College but also our strong fiduciary responsibility to our students and the community members in District 502.”
