Courses and Workshops
In collaboration with the Office of the Provost, the Adjunct Faculty Support Office, the Employee Development Center, and the Learning Technologies department, the Faculty Professional Development Program provides full-time and adjunct faculty development opportunities that support teaching, learning, and practice in these areas and others:
- Assignment Design
- Course Design
- Feedback and Grading
- How Students Learn
- Inclusive Teaching
- Instructional Methods
- Learning Activities
- Instructional Technology
- Reflective Practice
Workshops (face-to-face or virtual sessions of 2 hours or less) and courses(sustained face-to-face or virtual learning, providing credit hours)
- are interactive and collaborative;
- share practical, evidence-based best practices on pedagogical themes;
- encourage participants to try new things in the classroom.
Workshop and course offerings are reviewed by the Faculty Professional Development Advisory Committee (FPDAC) and made available for registration in the Cornerstone system.
